The purpose of this Poster presentation is to discuss our 18 month trial into the feasibility of a congenital cytomeglarvirus (CMV) screening for newborns in Tasmania who have not passed their initial hearing screen, including challenges encountered and potential future directions.


Biography:

Dr. Marie Rauter, Dr. Natasha Hamilton & Dr. Victoria Carter are Paediatricians in the Tasmanian Health Service based at the Royal Hobart Hospital & the Launceston General Hospital.  Nicole Zawadski and Keeley Moffett are Senior Site Coordinators and Michelle Chacksfield is Discipline Lead, in the THS Statewide Audiology Service.
